Qualified in1979 from The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Fellow member of ICAEW as well as The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.

Joined the A. F. Ferguson & Co. (a member firm of PwC) Karachi office in 1980 as an assistant manager and moved to then Rawalpindi office of A. F. Ferguson & Co.(AFF) in 1987. In 1990, became responsible for tax practice of Islamabad office of AFF.

Admitted to partnership of AFF in 1991 and became Partner In Charge of Islamabad office of AFF in 2007.

Experience of more than 40 years in audit and tax practices both in Pakistan and the United Kingdom and been involved in various engagements related to tax advisory, tax compliance, external audit and due diligence of various companies. As Partner In Charge of Islamabad office of AFF, besides dealing with clients in the business of exploration and production of petroleum and related services, independent power producers, telecommunication and manufacturing sector etc. Was also responsible for the administration and HR functions pertaining to qualified employees.

Retired from AFF on August 20, 2015 and thereafter joined Deloitte Yousuf Adil on October 01, 2015 as Senior Adviser to deal with tax matters of clients of Islamabad and Lahore office. He left Deloitte in September 2019. He is now the “National Tax Leader” of Javaid & Co.
